Getting Started

This is an opportunity to learn your capabilities, new skills, working teams, and have a fun time.

  1. First you need to find or organize a team of 2-4 people, 4 max.
  2. Next you need to pick a category as a team.
  3. Then brainstorm a problem in that category.
  4. Finally begin to start a design of the solution to the problem.

You should not begin coding the solution in until 5:PM on Oct 18th, and will finish the solution by Oct 19th at 5:PM. You may gather concept of operations, requirements, designs, tools, and training before the 18th.

Things you can work on between now and the beginning of the hackathon:

  • Solution Documents: Proposal, Requirements (SRS), Design (SDD), QA/Testing
  • Project Management: GitHub Projects, Work breakdown schedule
  • Training: Learning about languages, technologies, and principles.
  • CASE/Software Tools: Preparing your computers by downloading required software.
